Family Mediation Service based in Church Crookham, Hampshire

Going through big life changes can be really tough and stressful. When we’re stressed, we often react without thinking, sticking to our old habits and assumptions. This can make it hard to talk things out and really listen to each other.

This is where family mediation comes in. A family mediator is a neutral professional who helps everyone talk and listen effectively. They’re there to make sure everyone’s voice is heard and to help you find common ground. In tough times, a mediator can be a big help in moving from arguments to understanding, leading to peaceful solutions.

Family Mediation

Family mediators follow the basic steps of a mediation process but do not work from a script because every case is unique.

Family Mediation is a series of individual and joint meetings when parties can discuss and make agreements about different matters being guided by a trained professional.

When people come to Family Mediation, they usually have an immediate issue which they need to discuss and solve, quite often it’s a divorce situation when the emotional engagement of both parties is so high that is it very difficult to make decisions about finance or child arrangements without an impartial third party who can direct the discussion and help to make agreements.
